Eighteen different bodies form the Yarqon River Authority
- Government departments – Ministry of Environmental Protection, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Ministry of the Interior.
- Local Authorities – Tel Aviv-Yafo, Ramat Gan, Bnei Brak, Petah Tikva, Ramat Hasharon, Hod Hasharon, and the South Sharon regional council.
- Organizations and Corporations served by the river when exercising their responsibilities – KKL (Keren Kayemet LeIsrael), Mekorot Water Company, Israel Nature and Parks Authority, Yarqon Drainage Authority, Dan Regional Association for Environmental Infrastructure, Israel Government Tourist Corporation, Ganei Yehoshua Company.
- Landowners – The Israel Land Administration.
One representative of every member of the Authority sits on the council of the Yarqon River Authority.
The Authority’s management board has nine (9) members chosen from among the council’s members.
The current members represent:
Ministry of Environmental Protection, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Tel Aviv-Yafo municipality, Petah Tikva municipality, Bnei Brak municipality, Ramat Gan municipality, Dan Regional Association for Environmental Infrastructure, Yarqon Drainage Authority and the Israel Nature and Parks Authority.
The Minister of Environmental Protection appoints the council’s chairperson and its management board from among the Authority’s members.
The Authority’s management board appoints and employs workers in the following positions:
The Authority’s general director, a biologist/field manager, inspector, and office manager.
Additionally, the Authority employs the following service providers: Legal advisor, accountant, engineer, insurance consultant, an internal controller, and additional professionals as required.
